Your finished product

advent’s team will have your wedding photographs ready approximately two weeks from the ceremony date. We will call or email you to arrange a time for you to receive your package. If you need your package mailed to you, it will be sent via Australia Post registered mail, unless you specify differently.

Your package will consist of your proof sheets (if ordered), DVD/CDs and photos processed on high quality, luster finished photographic paper. All wedding photos are arranged in a stylish boxed album with sturdy construction and quality leaves to keep your memories well protected. The proof sheets contain 35 images per page and are numbered to correspond with the files on your DVD/CD for easy selection and reproduction. All of the pictures, proof sheets and DVD/CDs are owned by you.

advent's tips and other important information when booking a wedding photographer

Booking Your Wedding Day
Most couples will contact photographers early to guarantee a booking with a reputable photographer. If you are having trouble finding a Saturday available, consider having your wedding and reception on a Friday evening or Sunday afternoon. You may find easier availability of all services required for your wedding.

There are several ways to book advent for your wedding day. You can email or phone us with your booking. You may also make an appointment to meet and discuss details of your wedding day.

Suggested Order of Formal Photos
After the ceremony, photos generally begin with the groom, his groomsmen, and the groom's side of the family. Second would be the bride, the bridesmaids, and the bride's side of the family. At the conclusion of the bride's side, both families are brought together for a group photo. Photos are then taken of the bridal party, followed by just the bride and groom to finish the session. Depending on the size of the wedding party and the families, this session generally takes from 1 to 1.5 hours.

Ceremony Pictures
Ceremonies can last anywhere from 10 minutes to 1.5 hours. The start of the ceremony is usually indicated by the seating of the mother of the bride by the ushers. Photos of the bridal party walking down the aisle (processional) will be taken individually or with escorts. Of course, this includes the bride and her escort.

Traditional ceremony photos may include the brides arrival, the ring exchange, exchanging of vows, lighting the unity candle, communion, signing of documents, the kiss, etc. We also like to take candid and special effects pictures during the ceremony. A lot depends on the lighting and size of the ceremony area. Unless otherwise instructed, we generally like to be close to the ceremony area so as to get the best quality shots. Generally, the last pictures to be taken are the kiss, siging the register, and the recessional.

Receiving Lines (Diamond Package only)
Will there be time for a receiving line after the ceremony?
Two things should be considered:
(1) The number of guests attending the ceremony, and
(2) How much time you have before you must leave the church.
For 100-150 guests, it takes about 15 to 20 minutes to do a receiving line. If you decide to have a receiving line after the ceremony, candid pictures will be taken of you greeting your guests as they leave.

Receiving Line Alternatives (Diamond Package only)
If having a receiving line after the ceremony will take away too much time, the most popular alternative is greeting your guests at the reception. This can be done by the bride and groom after they finish eating. Traditionally the bride and groom would lead a buffet line or be served first for a sit-down dinner, so will be finished eating before their guests. This will leave time for the bride and groom to walk around to the various tables (while the guests finish eating) and greet their guests. We will follow you around and get candid pictures of you interacting with your guests. This usually provides great candid pictures and great memories of your wedding!

Reception Photos
If we are booked to come to your reception, and within the Package timeframe, we will take a variety of traditional photographs, including arriving at the reception venue, cutting of the cake, bridal waltz and speeches. Should you require something different please let us know.

Reception Time
Only the Platnum (B) and Diamond (C) Packages include the reception. Package B provides for the first two hours of your reception and Package C provides for the first four hours of your reception.

Extra Time
Will you stay longer at the reception if I need more time? If we have no other weddings booked after yours, we come prepared to stay longer if needed. If you have booked the Gold Package (A) and on the day decide you need extra time, you can request an upgrade to the Platinum (B) or Diamond (C) Packages which will provide additional hours and additional pictures. Should you wish for more than 4 hours coverage of your reception, each additional hour will be charged at $150.00 + gst. Alternatively you can choose to just book extra hours rather than upgrading to a different package.

Travel & Parking Fees
For locations around the Sydney Metro area there are no travel fees. For venues requiring paid parking, this cost will be added to the Package price. For outer Sydney and country areas, travel and parking fees will be applicable which will be advised prior to booking. We can also book weddings out of state and in these cases we will negotiate travel expenses with you.

Gold - Digital

• Minimum 100 hi-res digital    photos supplied on DVD (or    CDs)
• Additional set of images in    black & white supplied
• Package does not include reception
$645 + gst

Gold - Deluxe

• Coverage up to 3 hours which    includes the ceremony and   formal photos at a location of    your choice
• Minimum 100 – 5”x7” digital    prints
• Photos supplied as hi-resolution    files on DVD (or CDs)
• All prints arranged in
   stylish album
• Additional set of images in black    & white supplied on DVD
• Package does not include    reception
$795 + gst

Platinum - Digital

• Coverage up to 5 hours    which includes the the   brides house, ceremony    and formal photos at a    location of your choice and    the first 2 hours of your   reception
• Minimum 200 hi-res digital    photos supplied on DVD (or    CDs)
• Additional set of images in   black & white supplied
$945 + gst

Platinum - Deluxe

• Coverage up to 5 hours which    includes the the brides house,   ceremony and formal photos at    a location of your choice and the    first 2 hours of your reception
• Minimum 200 – 5”x7” digital    prints
• Photos supplied as hi-resolution    files on DVD (or CDs)
• All prints arranged in
   stylish album
• Additional set of images in black   & white supplied on DVD
$1195 + gst

Diamond - Digital

• Coverage up to 8 hours    which includes the bride and   groom's houses, the   ceremony and formal    photos at a location of your    choice and 4 hours of your   reception
• Minimum 300 hi-res digital    photos supplied on DVD (or    CDs)
• Additional set of images in   black & white supplied
$1390 + gst

Diamond - Deluxe

• Coverage up to 8 hours which    includes the bride and groom's   houses, the ceremony and   formal photos at a location of    your choice and 4 hours of your   reception
• Minimum 300 – 5”x7” digital    prints
• Photos supplied as hi-resolution    files on DVD (or CDs)
• All prints arranged in a
   stylish album
• Additional set of images in black   & white supplied on DVD
$1695 + gst

Small Ceremony Packages
Basic – $395 + gst
This economical package provides coverage up to 1.5 hours including Ceremony and formal photos taken at the same location. The package includes your photos only as hi-resolution files on DVD (or CD).

Basic Plus – $595 + gst
This inexpensive option provides coverage up to 2 hours including Ceremony and formal photos taken at the same location. The package provides 50 (5”x7”) colour photos arranged in an album. The package also includes your photos as hi-resolution files on DVD (or CD).

Custom Packages
Many couples have the photographer present whilst the bride and/or groom are getting ready. Some couples request photos of Bucks and Hens nights and other pre-wedding dinners and rehearsals, or your wedding may be onboard a boat or a unique location so reception time will be longer. Should you require something different please contact us and we can tailor a package to suit your needs and negotiate a price accordingly.

The 'Black & White' Package (complimentary with Gold, Platinum and Diamond Packages)

Black and white photographs have a classic and elegant quality about them, and may be an option to consider as an addition to your colour package. Brides often as for black and white as photos as they give the image a romantic edge and a high-class polished look.

For a modest price, advent will provide an additional set of black and white images, which are all individually converted to ensure the image retains it's individuality. Black and white images are supplied as hi-resolution files on a separate DVD (or CD).

Price: $150 + gst

Deposits

All packages require a $200 deposit to reserve your wedding date. The deposit is deducted from the package price with the remaining balance due 1 week prior to the wedding day. This can be paid by cash, cheque or direct deposit.
There is no copyright on any part of your package but we reserve the right to use the images.
